The Daily Gazette (Colorado Springs) No. 1211 Wednesday Apr 12, 1882 p.4 col. 1:

Oscar Wilde at the opera house Friday night.  Secure your tickets at Howbert Bros.

Commentary:
The newspaper copy viewed has a check mark in the margin next to the listing, suggesting the original owner of the paper intended to attend the lecture.

The Friday following this issue was April 14th.

The Daily Gazette (Colorado Springs) No. 1214 Saturday Apr 15, 1882 p.1 col. 5:
OSCAR WILDE |His Lecture in the Opera House, on Art Decoration

The audience which assembled in the opera house last night to hear Oscar Wilde's lecture was not a very large one  but was a very select one.

Commentary:
This newspaper also has a check mark next to the article similar to the one above.  In addition the article's  title OSCAR WILDE  is circled.  Again this suggests attendance by the original owner.  It is interesting to speculate that both newspapers belonged to the same owner who marked the papers anticipating the lecture and highlighting the review.

The article notes that Wilde (by this time) was not reading his notes "but had it committed to memory".  The review concludes that the lecture was "instructive and interesting and appreciated by all who were present."
